Marissa Weatherhead

Marissa has a broad vocabulary in paint which emerges in different applications depending on the given subject. Her still life paintings involve the assessment of colour, form, space and composition in an academic yet free flowing manner, while her landscape paintings  use the application  of paint to convey an emotional response to the beautiful scenery of the West of Ireland.

She began her career at NCAD before moving to Cheltenham where she gained a BA with  first class honours in Fine Art. She furthered her studies with an MA at The Royal College of Art in London. She has exhibited widely in Europe and gained several awards including a commission for the Barbican Centre, London.
