Irish Sculptor David McGlynn was born in Dublin in 1969. He graduated from NCAD in 1993 with a BA in Fine Art Sculpture. Widely travelled, David has lived abroad in Scandanavia and Asia, and has exhibited his work in Dublin, Helsinki, China and Hanoi, Vietnam. In 2001 David was selected from Ireland for the Changchun International Symposium in China.
The inspiration for his sculpture is varied, yet connected by the coastal environment where the artist lives. “The work attempts to explore an observational and intuitive response to people, places and music…There is a freshness and spontaneity about this work which will captivate and intrigue.”
