Anna St. George studied at the Limerick School of Art and Design, where she completed several years of study, culminating in a year in the sculpture department. She went on to teach at the LSAD where John Shinners was one of her students, he acknowledged her influence when opening one of his earlier exhibitions. She lives and paints full time at her studio in Limerick. ‘I mostly find my inspiration in the West of Ireland, in it’s wildness, raw beauty, everchanging light – in it’s very being’. She has had a number of very successful solo exhibitions, and has work in many private and corporate locations throughout Ireland, England, Germany the USA and Dubai. John Mulcahy of the Irish Arts Review wrote, “Anna’s talent is abundant, her traditional grounding in balance, contrast and composition is ever present in her painting”.
